Close up of Crocheted Flower

This is the close up of the crocheted flower on the hat which is shown in the previous post. I enjoyed using the leftover Noro Taiyo yarns to create this flower.

Crochet Flower on Sunhat

I made this flower from the book ‘Crochet Bouquet’, by Suzann Thompson. The flower is called a Columbine. I used left over Noro Taiyo yarn in two colours and a little of another yarn for the stamen in the centre. I bought the hat a little while ago and it did have a flower on it already, but I wanted to make my own flower for it. I took the existing flower off to sew my new one on.

Crochet a Rainbow

These granny squares were made for ‘Crochet a Rainbow’ as donations for the Queensland Floods, to be made up into blankets. I found the group on Ravelry.com for doing this, and thousands of squares have been donated this year by many different people.

Noro Taiyo Shawl – Here are Two Recent Shawls I have made

20 09 2011

I used two colours of Noro Taiyo yarn together in this shawl, which is mainly cotton/silk yarn.  The pattern I used was by Doris Chan, the pattern is called “All Shawl”, as seen on Ravelry.

I used one colour of Noro Kureyon yarn, which is 100% wool in this shawl.  Again, I used Doris Chan’s “All Shawl” pattern as seen on Ravelry.
